Meet Sarah Massarani, DVM, Resident in Comparative Ophthalmology

Dr. Massarani earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Ecology from Loyola University of Chicago in 2012. She later obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2017. Following her graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago. From 2018 to 2023, Dr. Massarani worked as a general practitioner for small animals in the Algonquin area while also gaining experience by observing veterinary ophthalmologists in her free time. In April 2023, she began her role as a Veterinary Ophthalmology Intern at Animal Eye Consultants in Illinois. In 2024, she began sharing one week of every month with us at The Animal Ophthalmology Center.

Outside of work, Dr. Massarani enjoys hiking, biking, reading, and spending quality time with family friends.
